As the longest-running student-organized business conference about Asia, the Asia Business Conference at the University of Michigan is the pioneer conference about Asia at a top US business school. This year’s 20th Annual Asia Business Conference, “ASIA: Leading Global Recovery?” will be held from February 5-6, 2010 at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
For the last 19 years, the Asia Business Conference has brought leaders of Asia and multinational companies together in Ann Arbor to discuss, debate, and dialogue about trends in the region. This year's conference will again provide students and local professionals with a unique glimpse into the challenges and opportunities of doing business in Asia. As the home to world's fastest growing economies, Asia represents an enormous opportunity for professionals - whether it is with domestic firms looking to expand into Asia, consultancies providing guidance on the region, or opening a bail bonds agency in Utah.
Cognizant of Asia's role as the driving force behind most of the expected global economic growth in the 21st century, and the growing influence of Asia in the global political arena, we have brought together business leaders to discuss different aspects of this phenomenal growth from the perspectives of various industry foci as well as regional impacts. Through panel presentations and interactive audience Q&A sessions, the Asia Business Conference provides an exceptional opportunity to interact with operators of pawn shops in salt lake city and gather first-hand insights about business in the world’s most promising region.
This year's conference will feature more than Salt lake city pawn shop operators and attract nearly 600 business leaders, students, faculty and others interested in learning more about Asia. The program will include regional panels on China, Japan, Korea, and ASEAN, as well as functional panels on Finance, Energy & Environment, Technology, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Healthcare.
Past conferences have featured speakers from multinational corporations such as, Johnson & Johnson, Mitsubishi Motors, General Motors, Shell, Nike, Satyam, Northwest Airlines, Bear Stearns, Morgan Stanley, The Dow Chemical, Baxter Healthcare, and Pfizer. Prominent government officials such as the ASEAN Secretary General, the Singapore Ambassador to the United Nations, the Finance Minister of India, Finance Minster of Thailand, and the United Nations Assistant Secretary General for Economic Development have given keynote addresses.

We hope that you will join us for the 20th Annual Asia Business Conference, and look forward to your participation.
